Classes on Mental Illness
| Posted on August 29, 2014 at 6:00 PM |
The Social Awareness Ministry of the Santa Catalina Catholic Church has worked with
the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to provide a NAMI Basics class closer to
our church. NAMI basics is a free class that gives parents the basic information and
skills necessary to take the best possible care of their child, their family and themselves.
If you have a child with a mental illness that started before the age of 13 (even if that
child is grown) you may be interested in this class. It is a six week course that will start
September 11 from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. at a church near Ina and Oracle.
The course is taught by parents or caregivers of children with mental illness.
If you are interested, you need to register by calling Judi Maikoff at 520-622-5582
520-622-5582
or emailing her at jmaikoff@namisa.org.
