Food Drive September 6-7

Every month, on the first Saturday and Sunday, our Parish has a Food Drive.
A food cart is available in front of the church for your food donations. The
recipients of these donations are Casa Maria and Impact of Southern AZ. Both of these
organizations are very grateful for your charitable donations. Our Youth Ministry and
volunteer parishioners are available to provide assistance in getting donations
from your car to the food cart, if needed. Please bring nonperishable food items on

The Tucson chapter of Habitat for Humanity is having a Building Freedom Day 2014 event on Thursday, September 11, through the Neighborhood Partnership Program (NPP). This program is designed to assist homeowners who are elderly, disabled, or financially distressed by repairing and painting their homes. Four slots are reserved for CCSB members: 6:30-9:00 am (2), and 9:30-12:00 noon (2). Contact Scott Vance at 520-825-7693 to participate in this worthy effort.
Fall Bible Studies at SaddleBrooke

This fall, the Community Church at SaddleBrooke will present two studies for women. One is a Beth Moore video of "Why Godly People do Ungodly Things" in two different venues. The first is on Monday afternoons 2:00-4:00pm at the parish house, beginning October 6 through November 17. Please contact Mardie at 520-825-4700

Bridges Out of Poverty

Bridges is an innovative model for investigating poverty and establishing a systematic approach for reducing poverty, which is being utilized in more than 70 communities nationally. It was brought to Tucson by the Steering Committee for the Southern Arizona Bridges Initiative and is sponsored by IMPACT of Southern Arizona, Amphitheater Public Schools, and Pio Decimo Center. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month at 4pm at the First Baptist Church of Catalina. For more information, call IMPACT at 825-0009.
Family Caregiver Support Group July 21st

Join us to meet and talk to other caregivers, share information and advice, and receive support! Everything discussed in the group is confidential. The group meets the third Monday of each month, from 3:00pm-4:30pm at Vista United Methodist Church, in the Stephen's Ministry Study. For more information, call 825-1985.

Hey kids! Come enjoy a "drive-in" movie at the Dewhirst-Catalina Branch Library. Bring your lunch or enjoy a snack while you watch!
