May 2: National Day of Prayer event in SaddleBrooke

National Day of Prayer is May 2 this year and there will be prayer events held all around the Tucson area. One event that will be close to those living in Catalina will be a prayer and praise meeting in SaddleBrooke. It will be held at the Mountain View Club House, from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Contact Karen Kelly at 344-4417 for more information about the National Day of Prayer.

March 23: Free spaghetti dinner and fundraiser for Family First

Spring Spaghetti Fundraiser at the Summer Institute of Linguistics, 16131 N. Vernon Dr., Catalina. It will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at 6:00 pm. Free admission by ticket includes dinner and dessert. Call 520-896-9545 for your ticket.This is a fundraiser for Family First Pregnancy Care Center and Family Diaper Bank, helping mothers, youth, and families.

 


March 7 Social Awareness Meeting: Crime in our Community

Santa Catalina Catholic Church is hosting a Social Awareness Ministry Meeting on Thursday, March 7th at l:30 p.m.  Oro Valley Police chief Daniel Sharp will be the speaker and address community crime issues.  Everyone welcome.

Special Music at First Baptist Church in February and March

Wednesday, Feb. 27: "The Gatekeepers" will be special guests at the First Baptist Church of Catalina (3503 E. Wilds Rd.). They will be singing for us and will also give a report on Israel.

Sunday, March. 3: William Harness will be singing at both of our services and will also do a concert on Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m.  He was originally an opera singer and has changed to gospel music.  He has a 5 octave range in his singing and is wonderful to listen to!  The concert is free and a Love Offering will be taken.

Saturday March 9:  Come to a dinner ($7.00) and show.  The theme is "American Pie". 

Sunday, March 24: Easter Musical: "The King is Coming!"

All of these special events will take place at the First Baptist Church of Catalina, 3503 E. Wilds Rd. For more information on any of these events, please contact the First Baptist Church at 818-2555.

Come get fresh produce for the donation of only $10! Market on the Move is held at the Catholic Church parking lot every 4th Saturday of the month, from 8-11am.

The whole community of Catalina is invited to come together for a time of praise music and prayer from 7:00pm - 8:30pm. Hosted by Pathway of Hope Church and LifePoint Church, this event will be held at LifePoint Church, 3137 E Everett St.

 


Saturday, March 2: "Hope Beyond the Walls" Banquet

Support those involved in jail ministry at the "Hope Beyond the Walls" banquet. Hear about the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry at the Pinal County Jail in Florence, and help to support Chaplain Michael Whittaker and the ministry at the jail. The luncheon is free, but donations are requested to help Chaplain Michael. The event begins at 11:30am at the First Baptist Church of Catalina, 3505 E Wilds Rd. Reservations are required, so please call Michael at 483-3774, or email wfriend@q.com and let them know if you would like to attend.

Bible Conference and Revival January 13-16
