The Catalina Mountain Elks Lodge will have a Rummage Sale on May 3, 2014, from 7:00am to 1:00pm at the Elks Lodge on Oracle Road. They also plan a Parking Lot Party on April 26, including a live and silent auction, food, and music! Come support these two fund raisers for Catalina!

The Stations of the Cross garden will be open every Friday leading up to Easter at the Santa Catalina Catholic Church, 14380 N Oracle Rd, at 5:00pm. On Good Friday, April 18, 2014, the Stations of the Cross will begin at 3:00pm. Call 825-9611 for more information.

This year's Gifts of Hope - Alternative Market and Mission Fair is set for Sunday March 23rd following worship (11:00am) under the Ramada at the Mountain Shadows Presbyterian Church, 14240 N Oracle Rd.  The following organizations will be represented: Habitat for Humanity, Crosstreet Homeless Ministries, Interfaith Community Services, Tri-Community Food Bank, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, Frontera de Cristo, Middle Eastern Fellowship and  Impact of Southern Arizona (formerly Catalina Community  Services).

You are invited to an evening of fun and entertainment at the Ole Fashioned Ice Cream Social. Bring your favorite bonnet or bow tie and come hear the Cañyon del Oro Barbershop Chorus, while you enjoy ice cream with all the toppings, and coffee. There will be door prizes and paintings, done by a local artist, for auction. This is a free event that will benefit the Family First Pregnancy Care Center, in Oracle, AZ. The event will be held at the SIL Auditorium, 16131 N. Vernon Dr. in Catalina, on Saturday, March 8, at 6:30pm

Come to a concert of the Norteños, Saturday, March 29, beginning around 12:00 noon. The concert is sponsored by the Horeb Baptist Mission and  will take place in the parking lot of the First Baptist Church, 3505 E. Wilds Rd.

The community is invited to game nights at Vista de la Montana Church, 3001 E. Miravista Lane, all held at 6:00pm. Bring board games and snacks to share. The next game nights are March 25th, April 22nd, and May 27th. Call 825-1985 for more information.

A showcase of art done by local artists will be held at the Vista de la Montana United Methodist Church on Sunday March 16th, starting at 11:00am (after the Sunday morning service at 10:00am). Ash Wednesday services will be held at Catalina Lutheran Church, 15855 N. Twin Lakes Drive, on March 5th, at 9:00am and 7:00pm. Wednesday services will be held throughout Lent, on the following Wednesdays, with the evening services preceded by a soup supper at 6:00pm. Call 825-9255.
