Help for those who grieve

Casa de la Luz has several grief support groups that can provide support and healing after loss. One of the groups will be meeting in Catalina, at the Santa Catalina Catholic Church, 14380 N Oracle Rd.

It is called "Healing Journeys Support Group", for adults after the loss of a loved one. It will be meeting on Thursdays from 2:30 to 3:30pm, from January 10 through February 28, 2019 (8 wks). For information, registration, and/or directions, call Casa de la Luz at 520-544-9890.

GriefShare "Surviving the Holidays"

If you have lost a loved one recently or even years ago, the holidays can be a challenging time. On Sunday, October 15, 1:30 p.m. at the Parish House of the Community Church at SaddleBrooke. There will be a one session program that will give you information tools and support to help you prepare for the Season. Sign-ups will begin this Sunday in the foyer. As the holidays are quickly approaching, the Community Church at Saddlebrooke will be hosting a special support meeting called, "Surviving the Holidays."

The Holidays can be tough for everyone but for those suffering the loss of a loved one it is very difficult, especially during the Holidays. The GriefShare Ministry of CCSB will hold a special "Surviving the Holidays" Educational and Support Meeting for people who are grieving the loss of a loved one. "Surviving the Holidays" will be held on Sunday November 13, 2016 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm at the Community Church at Saddlebrooke Parish House 36768 S Aaron Lane, Tucson AZ. Santa Catalina is offering a five session bereavement class on Mondays,

October 20—November 17 from 1-3 p.m. in the Mesquite Room.

It is a safe, confidential setting in which information about the process

of grief is shared as well as elements of healing. The group will share expe-

riences, prayer and rituals. Gloria Brown and Judy Rossman, Stephen

Ministers, lead the group. It is designed for someone who has lost a

loved one, recently or a few years past. Registration is required and attend-

Description of group:  An 8 week facilitated program for support and education.  Appropriate for individuals whose loss has been two or more months ago.  Session utilizes Understanding Your Grief by Dr. Alan D. Wolfelt.  Materials provided by Casa de la Luz Foundation.  Registration is required.
